Under the provisions of the School Admissions Code, The Governors and Multi Academy Trust (the admission authority) of Blacklow Brow School have agreed that, effective from 1st September 2017, they will admit up to a maximum of 30 children across all year groups in the school (Reception to Year 6).
The school operates an organisation of single form entry. The admission authority will formally determine an admission number of 30 for 2018/19. This statement is to ensure transparency for all potential applicants to the school during the 2017/18 school year.

Appeals resulting from the year of entry for admission in September 2018 will be heard by appointment.
All appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.
All appellants will be sent a copy of the school’s case a reasonable time before the date of the hearing.
If any appellant wishes to submit additional evidence which was not included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is received within a reasonable time prior to the hearing date (normally five working days). Any additional evidence or information received too late may not be able to be considered at the appeal hearing. The appeal panel must decide whether it should be considered taking into account its significance and the effect of a possible need to adjourn the hearing.
Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard on a date to be arranged within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged with the Authority.
