Mrs J Williams, Head of School

Dear Parents/Carers,

That half term went in the blink of an eye. However, as usual, the teachers and children have been working so hard to ensure that progress is being made. Children are using Reading Eggs at home and in school and I know in the next round of assessment, reading scores will have improved. Keep it up!

This week saw the launch of a local author’s new book at Blacklow Brow. Nanna Strawberry came in person to show us her new book ‘Nanna
Strawberry Remembers the Young Queen’.  She was delighted with the welcome from the children and has promised to come in very soon to do writing workshops with our children.

Next half term we will be having a Year 2 and Year 6 parent’s SATs forum where the class teachers’ can go through the expectations for the SAT’s and how parents can help prepare their children at home. Keep an eye on the diary for the dates.
Have a super half term.
