Dear Parents/Carers,

What a fantastic week we have had! It is only our second week back and the children are making us all so proud with the way they apply themselves, showing lots of determination and resilience in the challenges they tackle in class.  I had the pleasure of dropping into all classes throughout the week and saw excellent behaviour for learning with very motivated, hardworking pupils in all classes. We are delighted with them!

This week saw Roald Dahl Day take place to celebrate what would have been his 102nd birthday.  It was lovely to see so many children supporting our charitable efforts wearing yellow socks (Dahl’s favourite colour) and we were absolutely blown away by all of the amazing homework creations that the children returned.  They were creative, imaginative, extraordinary birthday cake designs that would have made Roald Dahl very proud!  Thank you to all of the efforts at home to produce these wonderful creations, as always we greatly appreciate your support.

We also appointed our new Year 6 prefects this week, who will be taking on roles of responsibility across the school and acting as ambassadors for Blacklow Brow.  We wish them all huge congratulations.  We only wish we could have picked all of Year 6 as they are all fantastic- but we will have other roles available for those who are not prefects this year.

We wish you a wonderful weekend and we are looking

forward to another fantastic week next week.
